Lemon - A Wonder For Skin

We go out to the drug store or department stores to purchase what we need for our beauty regiment.  We get products that will help us look and feel better about ourselves.  Sometimes we just need to look in the grocery stores or in our refrigerator for a better solution.  You may be surprised. Why?  Because we are talking about that thick skinned fruit, the lemon.




The lemon is one of the most useful beauty products we can imagine. With its rich content of nutrients and essential oils, it helps beautify your skin.  Lemon alone or with any other ingredient makes a very good mix for healthy skin.

It is not limited to the rich and famous anyone can purchase it and use it, because it is a fruit that is found all over the world.  It is loaded with Vitamin C and rich essential oils which makes for lovely and ravishing skin.

Lemon is also use as a cleanser, the nutrients from within does wonder internally as well as externally.  A little lemon mixed in a glass of warm water and consumed  everyday, helps in clearing the toxins from your body.

Cutting a lemon in half and rubbing it on your skin and letting sat it for nearly an hour can help in removing a sun tanned skin. It will also help in reducing your chances of wrinkles by boosting collagen thus plumping the skin to help minimize wrinkles.

Try this remedy: One cup whole milk, two teaspoons fresh lemon juice, bring this mixture almost to a boil, then cool until it is warm, smooth it over your face, neck with a sponge.  Let it dry, then rinse with warm tap water.  Lemon juice contains Vitamin C which help prevent and reduce wrinkles.
Lemon is a good for your scalp too, as it helps in ridding your hair of dandruff. Rubbing or massaging lemon juice in your hair  helps in hair growth. The follicle glands are regulated too which helps your scalp to produce oil for beautiful and shiny hair.

As it aids in stimulation lemon has been used in many of the aromatherapy soaps and oil to rejuvenate you in every aspect.  Brittle nails?  Rubbing sliced lemon everyday would help you achieve much stronger and sturdier and healthier nails. You can try one of the common treatments for nails by soaking them in a mixture of lemon juice for 8 minutes and then brushing them with equal parts of vinegar and warm water.

It is also useful in helping to remove blackheads.  Rubbing lemon juice over blackheads, and allowing it to remain on the skin overnight then rinse it in the morning, will help shrink them. Continue applying it every night till the blackheads are gone.  Put equal parts lemon juice and water in your mouth and swirl it for as long as you can and then drink it or discharge it. This method would help in refreshing your mouth against bad breath.

Lemon Juice is acidic; one should use it in correct proportions. It acts as an astringent too which may not be good to use excessively. Before trying any of these remedies please see to it that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.  

Remember outside beauty can be like diamonds to the eyes, but inside beauty is priceless.
